ok i'm sure this has been talked to death... but since we have a thread saying we're missing a good debate here we go..... when the bible meant something to me way back when .....even then i pondered.... god starts off as this vengeful being..."listen to me or i'll lay your soul to waste".

to his enemies ....keep your distance or you will feel the wrath of yahweh or if i want what you have ....best leave now unless any of you men wanna die.

then overnight.. he is patient, loving, kind, his son says love they neighbor.

I've enjoyed all the posts and thank you A Guest..

I like the fact the you say the Bible is not from God because that makes it easier to Understand when many claim God or Jesus talks to them...

I used to find that strange but it makes it easier for me to Understand.

I don't believe in God or Jesus but wouldn't call myself a true Atheist.

But I will admit I am a very STRONG APOSTATE!!!!!!!!!!

I try not to Judge others for their Faith..My wife is a very Strong Christian who knows how I feel but loves the person not his Faith Status

I truly had a STRONG Relationship with both for mor than 30 yrs...

I enjoy talking about Ideas cause what a waste if I just Deleted all those years.

The God of the OT ...Killing every human including babies ect all but those on the ARK....never sat well with me seeing it was so close to the Garden of Eden.

The God of the NT seemed like a Whimp!

I have enjoyed all the posts I hope to see more!

I once heard that Jesus actually was the God of the Old T. and once he came down he realized how wrong he was for being so Hard on Humankind. And became a More Loving God as we see now.

Blondie ... When I was in I really thought about the OT when thinking about the final day of Judgement... Everyone Men Woman Elderly children Babies.... how horrible it was to think that ..but God in the Old days did and God is Justice and True and Pure and can't be wrong....so who was I to Question his Plan.

My take of Dan ...if his stories were true...I always wondered why he spent some much time in the internet or Apostate Forum instead of Spending time with his Family he said He Loved So Much.

His wife was upset knew he was here ...and you don't need to be a member to read postings... yet here he was ranting and raving at times

Dan if your out there... I hope your absence is because you are Rebuilding your family and I wish All the Best for you.

I liked the Hercules story as a kid before I was a JW

Maybe thats why I liked Samson so much LOL

Almost same story but tweeked...

Funny as a Kid I knew Hercules was made up

As a JW I took Samson as Real as could be very embarrassed right now LOL

After you got reinstated from the congregation, did the love bombing start right away and how long did it last?

I think it depends on their Family Status in the Hall..

I've see lowly famlies have a loved one Reinstated and the Hall will greet the one politely then eye them as a Traitor.

I've seen Familes that might have an Elder and one is reinstated and you would think the CO was visiting....

All you would hear for MONTHS isn't it great Elders ***** is back ...and the change ***is showing .they truly learned a lesson and Love Jehovah!!

Even if an Individual has been DF'd many times .... an Elders family is prised as the perfect family in the Hall.

If you mention your doubts about that one...... be prepared to find yourself downstairs being reminded by 3 Elders (And trust me the Elder of the family one you spoke of WILL be there) will rermind you.....Only Jehovah can read hearts!!!!
